Although most guests find The Lodge's setting provides pleasures a-plenty, the surrounding countryside contains a rich variety of diversions. Within a short drive guests can enjoy the Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame, Farmers Museum, the wonderful early American Fenimore House Museum, Northeast Classic Car Museum, local wineries, berry and apple picking, many area golf courses, tennis courts, horseback riding and hiking and in winter, cross-country and downhill skiing. There is fabulous antiquing in nearby quaint historic villages, which are also home to fine restaurants and specialty shops.
